Default Newbe question! (Key not detected)

Ok I admit I'm a newbe to the forum and owning a Lexus. I got in my car tonight and it wouldn't start the dash said key not detected. Now what?

if it's a battery problem on your fob your car dash will say Fob not detected or something like that

It was a dead battery in the key fob.

No it won't go dead if you leave it in the car. I think recommends changing it at every 10k service interval.

Don't worry, I got my car since 2007, I only changed the key fob's battery only once. Which reminds me, I think I should get new batteries for myself. lol.

Some cars like the mini Cooper recharge the fobs batterie in the ignition. Pretty cool.
