This car is still amazing to me but I've just had some misfortunes. Hopefully I can hold off till the new one drops!!

But really... no one likes the G37 it seems like. To me, it looks great and has similar features but I only like the coupe G37. The sedan doesn't look sporty at all to me but I'd really like another 4 door automatic.

Guess I'll be holding on to this for a while....

Thanks for the input guys!
you can always get another S2000. Its an awesome little car OR upgrade to an Elise or NSX

You'll be disappointed with the G37. Its arguably faster than your IS350 but the interior, build quality and ergonomics aren't as good, definitely something you'll be missing as a daily driver. I wouldn't say its an upgrade, just something in the same class thats different.

I'd hold out for a 3IS, and thats what I'm waiting for as well.

I wouldn't mind trading up for a Gen 3 IS350 if they'll come in AWD

I owned a G37S coupe before my IS350, and the difference is night and day. I miss my G more than anyone would know and it kills me inside when I see one drive by. I'm stuck with my car for at least 3 years, and I wish I wasn't. The driving experience in the G is FAR more enjoyable than the lexus. I felt engaged while driving my Infiniti, while I feel like I drive a Hybrid now.

I will agree with you on one aspect however. If you are only considering the sedan, the IS interior is fairly nicer than the G, but they are still relatively similar. The Infiniti is nicer in some aspects, while the Lexus is nicer in others. If you would like me to elaborate on this I would be happy to do so.

I vote G over IS all day.

Out of curiosity why did you ever switch? The things you describe as being deficient about the IS would be readily apparent upon a test drive, it's not like after a year of ownership you'd all of a sudden be surprised that the driving experience isn't enjoyable.

I got my G in December of 2007, so it was getting old and was a lease. I ended up getting the IS because they would finance me under my own name, regardless of my limited job history.

I'd hold onto the IS and wait for the redesign. Not much else is as reliable or different. Also consider your car a classic and part of the family. When I get restless with my ride after a few years, I start looking at it as something I've baked and taken care of myself...all the hard work, ups and downs, and follies makes it a part of you. And the lack of car payments seals the deal. Then when something new that's truly amazing finally comes along, it's time to make the switch (3IS). I don't think that time has come yet.

Thats what I figured. Not too many cars out there with this kind of price that are worth buying. I guess me and my 350 will be chuggin it out a little longer. I'll just fix all the BS...

although, I did drive my friends G37 the other day and its pretty nice IMO. Handles well, good torque, just as fast if not faster, but it just didn't blow me away.

He drove my car and wanted to trade plus 5k on top since he has a lot less miles. I declined... lol

I have gone over this a bunch of times and it looks like I will be staying with my IS350 for a while. I almost get into a new 5.0 Mustang and had being wanting and ISF but the fact of the price and that I am gonna be riding in the same platform doesnt make me too happy paying so much money.
