Buying IS250, what do you guys think
So I've been looking for about 2 months and haven't found quite the right car with the features I'm looking for (nav, heat/cool seats).
I think I may have found one though!
I really really like the power in the 350 but for now I'm into saving gas
Just want to know what you guys think, I've been lurking for a bit and found lots of valuable info.
Plan on taking it to the Lexus Dealer to get it checked out first.
Have to drive 9 hours to get it so I haven't seen it.
2006 Lexus IS 250 with nav
86,699 miles
asking $17,495

I agree with everybody here. They are asking too much $$$ for that year and mileage, plus like you said, it's 9 hours away. Gas savings is only a lil bit better on the IS250. The IS350 gets slightly poorer mpg but has a 100hp advantage. If you can afford the IS350, go for that one instead.

^ This. Things to consider: Black paint is really hard to take care of. My last car was black. Every little chip, scratch shows up much more than lighter cars. I'd also go with an IS350 but I knew it was bad on gas going in but I didn't care since its 100% more powerful than an IS250.
However, it does look like it has the Luxury package, which includes a lot of features. Unless you're dead set on getting that particular car, I'd look a newer IS350 thats closer if you can afford.

I agree its too much for the year and mileage. I picked up my '06 350 with about the same mileage for about $2k less than that, and it is fully loaded plus a few upgrades (aero kit, suspension and intake).

I would pass, i purchased my 06 350 in may with 18k miles and fully loaded with sport package, spoiler, nav, etc. I got it for 21 but it had a few scratches I needed to fix and got a flat on my drive home, so with tax I now have 23 into it. I wouldnt worry about the gas mileage, mine seems to be really good.
