Default new tires

so its about that time to get new tires. i have a 09 is250 awd. i live in minnesota and we get a decent amount of snow here. i would like to do seperate winter and summer tires but just don't want to deal with having to swap them every few months. i drive about 10k miles a year. i don't drive aggressive. i am wanting to get a tire that is good in the snow and rain, and quiet bt yet can get a decent amount of mileage out of. the oem bridgestones have worn down to replacement in 24k miles. with regular rotation and alignment. i know the oem dunlops suck and the oem michelin mxm4 also suck had them on a previous car.

so what tires is everyone using and what is your recommendations for a all season tire

From what I hear and read, the Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires are the best for all-season tires. They're not that expensive either.

thats what i was kind of thinking. they have good reviews. and easy on the pocketbook. bt most reviews dont mention much about deep snow.
the stock bridgestones i have now were good in deep snow far exceeded my expectations. i felt confident going places only trucks would go. they gave me no problems when we had 2ft of snow fall in one day last december. bt they have worn out at just under 24k miles and have severe cupping. and the ride has got very untolerable.

Yup. Among all seasons the DWS is tops.

But any all season will suck, in all seasons, compared to a dedicated seasonal tire. We're talking as much as 30% worse performance (longer braking distances, inferior handling in wet and dry, etc).

Don't they have any tire chains around you like discount tire? they'll swap your summer/winter wheels for free if you bought at least one tire set there.

Why would you waste money on AWD and then use mediocre tires? Tires are significantly more important to safety and handling than the driveline is.

I love Michelins but the Conti DWS would be my choice.
