So I was browsing for the GFX rear on Sewell earlier today and noticed that none of the years 06-11 have the part offered in Truffle mica (4T5). I saw that ALL other colors were options except for mine. I emailed Sewell inquiring about possibly buying a primer GFX rear or if they can have one painted in my color.

Anyone have an idea of why one paint color might be missing from their list?

 

From what I'm guessing is that Sewell only sells the 06-08 GFX rear, they offer it for 2009+ but it's officially made for the 06-08.

EDIT: I see Ultrasonic blue in the list. Must have to do with all the spreading of the 2011 F-Sport IS.

Your color isn't the only one, the rest of the uncommon 2009-2011 colors aren't there.

Amber pearl (09-10)
Cerulean Blue Metallic (2011)
Deep Sea Mica (2011)

 

That makes 3 more. The cerulean blue looks a lot like breakwater.

 

To piggyback the OP, I wanted the GFX front lip on my 06 Crystal White but Sewell no longer offers it. Is it possible that the Starfire Pearl lip would look waaaay off on my Crystal White 06 IS350?

 

^ I saw crystal white on the list yesterday you can try to order or email to confirm the color option. But you can definitely see the difference between crystal and sfp when next to each other.

 

Like rash said... Officially they didn't make the gfx kit for 09+ so truffle wouldn't be there. If USB is there Sewell is probably repainting their unsold sets so they can sell em to new F-Sport owners and recoup some $$$$.

 

217 Starlight isn't either (they don't offer in the USA, but they do in Canada. I almost got that colour).

You could probably contact Sewell and find out what it would cost if they paint you one in Crystal White.

You'd probably be better off just having a shop paint a primered one for you Colleen. Theoretically, they'd do a better job matching your car's paint.
