I'm running 5mm slip on. It works well. Been 300 miles since I had them on. No issues *knock on wood*. 5mm is the thickest you can go before having to get extended studs.

My lugnuts are volk and I was not able to get 7 turns with my advan rs wheels and 5mm spacers. I ended up having to get extended studs. Only real way is to test fit, its a varying factor and depends on lugnut style and wheels.

I know some people on here are running 5mm spacers without extended studs. I personally think if your running anything over 3mm you should just get the extended studs to be on the safe side. You might be fine running a 5mm without extended studs, but there's still a chance...and its better than losing a wheel on the highway

Ichiba states that for a 12mm 1.5 wheel stud you need at least 6.5 turns.

In the past I have experienced vibrations from spacers only when I used some that were not hub centric. My current ones are 15mm up front and 20mm in the back and they are hub centric and have no vibes.
