Do not go to dealership/s unless, you live very close to your dealership, you are there for other reason/s or you have confirmed over the phone that they will replace the battery for free. I paid $12 for them to replace the battery.
Will never go to dealer even if they charge $8. Not worth the drive!! Rite aid has them too.

check ebay or battery bob.com for 5 packs. It's a lot cheaper than buying single battery, just save it for later. battery is good for years.

my dealer, and as every dealer should replace them for free. why would a luxury dealer really charge a customer 8-12 bucks a battery when they are probably paying .50-1.50 for each of them. lame of some dealers to charge you for them, i always thought it was a lexus corp. thing

Why?

Because they can.

How else do you think they pay for the big TVs and free food in the waiting areas?

Same reason they get $60 to program a new key that takes them 5 minutes, or get $150 to do the "20,000 mile service" that is just a $50 oil change, or any of the other things a dealer insanely overcharges for.

I just bought a 5 pack of energizer off ebay for $6 shipped to Canada. I didn't want to buy the no name brand batteries from China that would have been dirt cheap (like 0.30 each).

You will hear a beep and see the message on your console (dash).
