Default Is this normal? [steering question]

This is probably a newb question;

Is it normal when you hit an uneven spot in the road going at low speeds, the steering wheel sometimes turns by itself (by about a quarter cycle)?

I just popped my front left tire running over a deep a** pothole not too long ago. Could it have affected the power steering?

Thanks

I have an awd and have noticed that sometimes when applying the brake...that the car wants to veer a little to one side or the other. I haven't had any uneven treadwear or anything of the sort...I believe it's a characteristic of the AWD.

True, it happens when I apply the brakes too. If I brake a lil' too hard and slight steer to the next lane, and there's uneven-ness on the road, it does that.

The road my have something to do with that too.... but an alignment could also be the solution... I got a RWD and it does that every so often depending on how I am driving and the angle of the road...

This...or your wheel could be bent. But, I would truly hope that the tire place installing the new tire would have told you of this.
