Default Help... I destroyed my bumper

I backed up into the corner of a trailer and it cut into the bumper pretty bad...

I'm pretty sure I will need a new bumper. I've decided to take advantage of this "opportunity" and get a rear bumper kit. I've looked through the forums and it seems like most are lip kits. Can anyone recommend a few options that are full bumper replacements?

Any ideas on how to cover this up to prevent any rain damage (Seattle summers), and so it doesn't look so bad for a week or so?

I like your P-Rods in the reflection.

As for the rear bumper replacement, the options are short. IS-F bumper conversion maybe. A lot of members on here dislike the idea and say you are posing, but as long as you keep your "ISX50" badge you are fine.

Sewell sells the kits pre-painted... http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2009/1954.html

Good luck and keep us posted with what you decide.

This rear bumper would look pretty awkward on a car without side skirts and the front bumper

IS-F bumper -
Artisan - A little too flashy for me

Might as well just get a replacement bumper for now. Options look to be:

1. buying a newly painted from Sewell at 550+shipping, about $700 total.
2. ebay Lexus Miami Dealer for 350 unpainted, free shipping

I'm leaning towards #2, but unsure if the cost to get this painted will end up being the same as the Sewell + shipping...

If you get the prepainted one there is the chance that it won't match your existing paint exactly

if i were you i would go with option 1. Dont forget the club lexus discount it should come out to 463.37 before shipping if you have the 09 model. I dont think option 2 is worth the hassle. sewell is really convenient since prices are competitive and you wont have to worry about paint match Hope you get this solved!

You might as well replace it with the '09+ OEM bumper, looks cleaner IMO.

I was hoping for some much lower that a lip could cover...but yeah, not happening. Now you get to choose your new favorite aftermarket bumper instead. YAY!
