Need help on what kind of lip this is:

GFX or X-package?

I've always thought this was GFX lip, until I called the dealer and he said the GFX lip is 2-pieces. Of-course this is a 1 piece lip.

So I called another dealer inquiring about the X-Pkg. lip and he mentioned the the X-Pkg. lip was 2 pieces also?

I'm pretty much sure this is an X-Pkg. lip?!?!?

 

I thought X-Package lip and GFX where the same lip. One piece.

That lip in the pic is a GFX lip. Which just comes standard on the X-package i thought...

The 2 piece lip is standard on all IS's unless you have the GFX lip standard.

 

There's an optional package called X-package when you buy the car, and in that package you get the GFX front lip.

 

yep they are one in the same, the original non xpackage/non gfx is two peices, i know because its sitting in the closet in two peices.

 

06-08 GFX kit is 1 piece but 09-10 GFX kit is 2 pieces I believe.

While on this topic, if adding a GFX lip does one has to remove the OE "lip" from off the bumper to do so?

 

^ Yes. They mount using the same tabs and bolts.

I think it is rediculous how the prices of these lips have doubled over the last year. They were priced as clearance items until the $500.00 recall gift cards were given out. No way I'm paying over $300.
