Most of you have it correct.

The 1-piece GFX came out first as a pre-painted accessory sometime in November 2005 with a suggested retail price of $385. A mere 6 months later Lexus drastically discounted the price to just half - presumably due to the lackluster sales of a $1,100 body kit (front, rear and sides). This one requires you to remove the 2 smaller bumper pieces which in some cases is a good think since they are commonly scratched and scarred due to parking blocks and big dips in the road.

In 2008, Lexus discontinued the production of the 1-piece front lip then dropped the price to Lexus dealerships to get rid of the 3,000 some odd spoilers in the various Lexus distribution centers around the country. Some of you may remember, we ran a 24-hour sale on the front lips and sold over 1,000 of these. [we'll never do that again!]

The X package came around in 2008 sometime and had the front lip spoiler already installed from the factory.

In 2009 Lexus offered a newer 2-piece front lip spoiler that was a factory option. For the dealership option, this 2-piece front lip is only available unpainted - this is one of the reasons the price is substantially higher than the discontinued, out-of-production 1-piece front lip spoilers.

Now for the 2011 IS models, there's another 2-piece style front lip and this has a much more aggressive appearance than it's predecessor.

Non of the lips spoilers are compatible with one another as they're intended to be installed with their associated front bumper (06-08, 09-10 and 2011).
