I know there can't be an exact link between the RANGE = 0 and when the Fuel Light comes on, but from those that have gone down that low does the light come on "about" the same time Range is 0 ? or is there a pretty big difference between the two ?

My low fuel light almost always comes on right at 30 miles range left. Occasionally, 31 or 32.

Light comes on 30-40 miles before Range = 0 on my car. After range = 0, I would say you have about 1.5-2 gallons left in your reserve. I've never run out of gas yet, but I wouldn't venture very far after that. Once or twice may be okay, but don't make it a habit.

I think its in the owners manual that when the gas light comes on you have approx 2 gallons of gas left in the tank...so depending on how you drive 30-50 miles.

I have a 07 IS350, I always wait till it go down to below the E and I go for another 35 miles. I wanted to reach 350 miles a tank every time before I refill it again.

I have an 07 IS250 and I usually get about 378 miles just as the needle approaches the empty mark and I usually run in power mode.

Mine normally comes on between 30-40 approx miles, but I have only seen the light a few times.

thanks. I wont have a chance to check this out myself for a bit and was curious..so it seems like Low Fuel Light comes on when Range is approx. 30 remaining....and then folks say they can go another approx 30 miles AFTER Range says 0.

does that sound about right?

Furthest I've driven was around 25-35 miles after empty. Was kinda nerve-racking, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.. Knowing your car could stop in the middle of nowhere is not something to look forward to, no way...

I get around 360 miles to the tank on street stop and go and heavy highway traffic. I get 480 miles to a tank driving on a highway with even elevation and at a moderate conservative speed, this is on a non stop trip from say NorCal to SoCal. Averaging anywhere from 32-35mpg

I've driven 45 miles past 0 on the highway.

Why would you run in power mode? That will definitely kill your gas mileage. Unless you're tracking your 250 on your way to work, that doesn't make much sense. It doesn't give you any more "power"...
