When I bought my car, the only thing I was iffy about was the grey interior. I've always absolutely loved black interiors, but the deal was too good to pass up, so I picked up my car. In retrospect, I'm glad I bought it, it looks really good. I don't mind the grey too much; it doesn't even bother me anymore.

All in all, you picked a great car to buy regardless... =)

Go for what you want man — YOU have to drive it, not us.

It took me over 6 months to find a white (SFP/CW/GFM) with black interior. I finally found one and drove over 3 hours to pick her up. Never been a fan of the tan interior and can't really explain why I don't like it. I guess it's just my preference on cars. Keep looking and don't settle until you're completely happy!

Same here took about the same amount of time to find my GFM with black interior. I live in Orlando and drove to Ft Lauderdale to pick it up Totally worth it.

Personally I'm not a fan of tan. It can look good in some applications, buy for the most part black is my fav. When I was looking for an IS, I went to the dealer and had already decided on the 250/350 debate. They had 1 used 350 on the lot, which was black sapphire with a cashmere interior. I couldn't get into it despite the salespersons offers. Finally he said he had two new 350s on the lot a SGM and OB. I choose the latter. I ended up paying a 5k difference between new and used but it was worth it to get exactly what I wanted an OB with black interior. No regrets

^ x2!

When I bought my IS i did skip over two other good deals because although the cars where in colors i wanted (SFP & GFM) the interior was cashmere and I just wasn't feeling it. When the dealer got an SFP with black interior as a trade in, I checked it out once it was on the lot and bought it! I LOVE the black interior much more. Yeah it will suck more during hotter days, but it doesn't show wear/dirt as badly as the cashmere interior would. To me, the black interior just looks more sporty as well.

I personally like that color combo. I used to have a White S2K on Tan leather. Nice combo.

Wow lots of hater for the cashmere. I owned a 2008 smokey granite IS250 with the dark grey interior, a 2006 black onyx IS350 with a dark grey interior and my car now is a 2008 black onyx IS350 with a cashmere interior. I would have to say that i love the cashmere compared to the dark grey interior. It give the interior a lot of flavor and i get compliments all the time from people. It's not all cashmere though it two toned, black and cashmere.

I have a SFP with cashmere interior. i like my cahmere interior because of the 2 toned top half on the dash and doors, added the black weather mats and black junction produce headrests to the rear seats to give it more contrast. Yes all Black is more sporty, however i feel cashmere gives it a more luxury feel..

It's all personal. I don't think the Cashmere by itself is feminine. I do personally find a white car with a tan interior more feminine than other color combos, but to each his own.

My current car is Obsidian with Cashmere interior. I specifically sought out this color combo mainly because I prefer black cars, and on luxury cars specifically, I find the black/tan combo is the best choice. My first two cars were LS400s and they were also black with tan interiors, looked great. My last car was an E55 black on black, and that was just too much black for me. The interior didn't look as luxury and welcoming, but then again it was an AMG and was intended to be more performance-oriented than luxury.

The two-tone interior that choosing a non-black interior affords you on an IS I think is better than a monochromatic black interior, which looks a bit bland to me without enough interesting offsetting and accenting colors/pieces (e.g. carbon fiber, wood, etc).

There is nothing wrong with getting what you want.

I walked away from a deal while looking for an IS because it did not have black interior how I wanted it.

Go with what makes you happy, and I agree with most members here, be open to drive further to get the color combo you want.

try the 09/10 ecru interior. its basically white.

i have a white on white car (SFP on ecru). i wish the interior was black, but whatever. if youre concerned what ppl think of the interior, then just tint the windows.

personally, i think white/lighter exterior colors look better on cars with nice greenhouse designs, b/c the body color contrasts with the windows. i.e. the window line on the side and rear of the IS is something that should be accentuated, not hidden. if you need to sacrifice for a lighter interior to get a white exterior, then so be it! Starfire FTW
