Question Replace License Plate bulbs with LED

I have searched all over the net to see a tutorial on how to replace the license plate bulbs with LED. I just cant seem to get to the bulb itself.
anyone have any tips. I figure since there is no tutorial it must be easy.

its been done before but requires alot of work. Gotta unscrew them from the trunk lid, pop the casing off from outside

Strange because I'm changing mine to better LEDs just a few minutes ago. It's not worth it IMO. The stock ones come with LEDs already and there's so much to take out just to take the assembly out. It'll require cracking open the assembly and doing your own wiring/soldering. It'll take two hours for an inexperienced person. There's no direct replacement, don't know if anyone makes plug-and-play solutions out there.

Wow I didn't think it would be such work. I wanted to put brighter LEDs.

There are no plug and play solutions. It's a proprietary assembly.
