Once those warning lights do illuminate, do they stay on until you turn off the car?

Does Lexus have a 146,500 mile maintance service requirement pre-programmed into the car perhaps? LOL...J/K..

Man, hate to say it...but with the sheer amount of electronics that go into each one of these vehicles it is too hard to say. I'd start by getting the car scanned while those warning lights are on to get a code #. Once you have that research what that means. Then open your wallet and look for a replacement via a wrecked 2IS on ebay or such first. If you cannot find the replacement part, try Sewell or local dealership. If all else fails, time to take out a second mortage and take it into the dealership for repairs.

GL!

mines was like that too, brought it over the dealership and found a faulty brake sensor, paid $120 including the labor, never had it turned on since

Sounds like the brake light switch but i would get the codes scanned to find out for sure as it could be something else. I got it fixed and no lights have come on since.

My story from a previous thread/post that I posted during the winter.... a couple weeks, my Check VSC, the Alert/Warning light (Red Triangle with Exclamation Point), ABS, and Brakes warning lights all would come on when starting my car up intermittently. If I turned my car immediately off and restarted, no lights would come on. Now these lights come on every time at start up.

I had the trouble codes scanned for my '06 IS250 AWD and it spit back two code: C1249 and C1223. C1249 is an open circuit in the stop light switch and C1223 is a ABS control fault error.

After reading several threads I had my buddy install a new stop light switch and reset the computer and no lights have come back on. I've started multiple times and have drove about 50 miles now and the lights have no returned! So if you get a c1249 and c1223 trouble code error on your Lexus, this is probably the solution. The only rip off is that I had to get the part from Lexus because I didn't want to wait to have it shipped from partsgeek.com (http://tinyurl.com/34len8a) and the $40 part became $83 through Lexus. I'm sure they probably would have charged $50 to diagnosis the issue and another $150 for labor...I'm pretty sure I came out way ahead in this situation. Hope this helps some you out there!

Probably the switch, bolts up under the pedal but has to be adjusted properly when putting it in. The codes come from it not seeing the signal from the switch when the pressure on the brake pedal/brake fluid changes.

I just found out today that the same thing is happening to my is350. Actually posted asking if anyone else had this issue and glad to hear I'm not alone on this one. I'm having my switch changed out this weekend. Best of luck to you and hope this is the fix-all for both of us!
