Default 2011 Audio system

Hi, I just bough a new IS250 and I have a question about the audio system, I have the standard audio package (13 speaker) and when I turn the volume up usually to around 20 the sound isn't very loud? I expected it to be a bit louder, if I turn it up all the way it isn't very loud either.

It's not a very loud system (unfortunately) compared to, say, my BMW.

When I bought mine new, I also thought the system was weak. This is a 2010 though..

Turn it up higher than 20 if you want it louder.

I'm confused.

Even in my own IS, I put mine to 20+ (typically beween 22 - 28, depending on cd/radio and the source volume).

Seems pretty normal to me considering my previous car was Toyota Solara Camry and used those same numbers in my IS.

20 is good in the morning.... in the afternoon when my foot get a little heavy bec of a looooong days work I crank it up to 35 or 40! Gotta hear it over my exhaust if I'm using the bluetooth audio I find it needs to be higher.... the radio is louder so I keep it lower... yea its not very loud system compared to others but it sounds so good.

I don't understand how you think the system is not "loud"? It goes all the way up to 60 which I don't even think I've ever come close to because it would hurt my ears. I love the stock system in my IS. It is better than the ML system in my '03 GS430 and that system is pretty sick.

Yeah I'm usually at like 25-30, sometimes higher. I'm usually not over 40 though, as IMO that's borderline obnoxiously loud.

It's funny...I can hop from my 350 (factory Pioneer non-ML) to my GF's Chevy Cruze (factory Pioneer 9-speaker) and it is night and day! I dunno, but the factory amp just doesn't cut it to me.

My ears have been spoiled by the Bang & Olufsen system in an Audi A8 before, so now most car stereos sound weak lol
