Indicates the ECM has experienced an internal memory fault.

it may be that you need a new ECM......try clearing it and pull the fuses then see if it comes back

i've had this problem for almost 3 years since i put on my mazzuri headers and sim. never really figured it out, but it runs rich. daniel mazzuri said way back it had something to do with the power source of the sim, but he never figured it out either.

I Solved My P0606 issue, yeah!!!!!

I just hope it does not come back, lol.

Ok, so currently I use a diagnostic tool on my android phone, app is called "Torque" which I additionally purchased a Bluetooth OBD adapter from ebay to be used together. Anyways , this morning a "VSC" prompt came on along with my check engine light and so on. I ran a check and sure enough P0606 was the code given. Believe me I worried, under my research on line including this forum I was given multiple suggestions from bad 02 sensors, Bad ECM, or as small as a gas cap.

I figure I start with the least expensive option and change the gas cap, ran down to Autozone got one w/key lock for $14 dollars. I tried running around for a bit with out having to manually reset the code to see if miraculously it would clear the fault, and YES it did. After my 2nd or 3rd start up to drive out it was no longer there.

Congrats on fixing the problem. It probably would have cost you $250 at a shop.

Code P0606 has nothing to do with a gas cap.

What you did was the equivelant of cureing brain cancer by changing your socks.

E1money, did the gas cap change permanently fixed your problem? I also have the Check VSC and P0606 is the only error code that shows up. I cleared it a few times and it always comes back.

Which fuse should i look at to confirm it is not the ECM fuse? I tried pulling a few out but it will take forever to go through all of them.
