Default 19" Tire Size?

Is Lexus's recommended tire sizing for the rear suppose to be 255/35/19?

Looks like Lexus site may have it wrong since they have it listed as 225/35/19 but it does not seem to look right...

It sounds about right. Once I had 225/40/19 on an 8.5" wide rim, and there was no stretch at all. So, I'm pretty sure the sizes are correct.

Well because for 18" staggered, it's 255/40/18 on 8.5". So for 19", 225/35/19 on 9.0, when I put it in a wheel calculator, the speed is thrown off unless I put it as 255/35/19, which is why I think something is a bit odd.

I also looked at tirerack and filtered down the 19" option and it too saids 255 for the rears.

It should be 235/40/19 for the front and 255/35/19 for the rear. Thats what came stock on my IS-F which is 19x8 and 19x9.

Come to think of it, I think Lexus also have the IS-F information wrong as well.

http://www.lexus.com/performance/

If you look at the IS-F and highlight the tire that's on there. It saids the car uses a 9.5" wheel for the rear. But looking at the spec info, it saids 9.0 rear.

The IS F has 19x8 and 19x9 with 225/40R19 and 255/35R19 tires (same diameter front and rear).
The RWD ISx50 have smaller diameter front tires than rear, so for 19's they recommend 225/35R19 and 255/35R19.

So yes, the sizes listed in the original post are incorrect.

I have those F-Sport full faced rims. The correct tires size is as follows:

Front: 225/35/19
Rear: 255/35/19

would the 225/40/19's from the ISF fit ok on the front of an IS350 with a 1'' drop?

It is in fact a misprint for the size, however the load range listed is correct. The load range for a 225/35/19 is in fact (88Y) and for a 255/35/19 it is (96Y)

Default Alternate Tire Sizing on a 2017 IS350 FSport

Reviving this thread to ask if anyone has experienced using the following tire specs on a 3rd gen IS350 FSport: 235/40/19 on the front and 265/35/19 at the rear.

The car is currently on RSR half-downs with a 235/35/19 on the front and 265/30/19 at the rear.

Appreciate your inputs.
