Default When did you replace your battery?

Just wondering when you guys have had to replace your original battery. I didn't drive all day yesterday, and today I had problems starting my car up... I'm thinking it's the battery. The car is an '08 with 50k miles... the only mod done to the car is coilovers.

Post up when you had to replace your battery (by year/mileage). Thanks!

Mine is 4 years old and I just hit 81,000 miles.

Original battery with 1,000 watt amp for the last 3 years.

Hmm, my '06 had to be replaced at 35k. I wasn't having problems but dealer said it didn't pass their load test and it was going to need to be replaced sooner rather than later. Cost me around $150 which I thought was pretty reasonable. I didn't price out batteries since it was already at the dealer for recall service. On my last car, the cheapest battery I could find was $125. So $150 installed I figured was worthwhile.

'06, almost 5 1/2 years old. 41,000 miles and original battery. I think it will go at least 6 years if not longer. I will say that I check the water level once in a while. Water was down in all cells just last week. I keep it topped off with distilled water. We shall see how long it goes.

I had to replace mine at 37k miles cause it didn't passed the load test. The car started fine. For those of you that has the factory battery, have it checked out before you'll get stranded somewhere.

My 07 with 37K miles is still on original battery.

This summer when it's in for oil change (plus valve spring recall), I might have it checked.

Dealer vs Owner: Round 1 Fight!

Dealer wins (KO)

I wouldn't have replaced the battery until it was totally dead. Dealers are very grimy!

Noooo! That's EXACTLY how the dealer wants you to think like! Don't fall for it!
