Default Cylinder 3 misfire also code p1278 need help!

This is the first time i have ever had a problem with my car is a 2006 Lexus is350 i have owned it for 2 years. The car runs great i use it on a daily basis. Today i turned on the car and it was shaking went to auto zone and the errors read that cylinder 3 is misfiring and also said another code which is p1278. I believe that is the port injector on cylinder 3. Could this possibly be that the injector is dirty or i would have to buy a new one. The car runs and it isn't weak in power even though it does not feel the same i´m guessing is running on 5 cylinders. I want to know was the best solution because i do not have warranty and the fact that i did the valve spring recall idk if this has something to do with it. My car has always run perfect and it did this when i turned it on, anyone that can help me with this i would highly appreciate it.

How many clicks on your car?

interestingly enough BOTH of my fuel injectors failed in the 6th cylinder just 2 weeks ago. I was out of warranty too but they "good willed" it, since it's unusual for parts like those to fail so early.

Whatever you decide, be forewarned that the dealership charges a stupid amount for fuel injectors. I think the one direct injector for my 350 was $750 from the dealership which is pure lulz. I think the port injector is a lot cheaper.....I think I saw it online for $120 ish... dealership is easily double that.

But like I said, they "good willed" mine... if you're nice enough to your service advisor, they might do the same for you.

My Nissan would sputter at start up. Tripped a cylinder misfire code. They replaced the injector and it still didn't fix it. Turned out to be a bad head gasket. Lucky for me it was still under warranty. Good luck with it.
