Default 2IS owners.....WTF????

I recently purchased my 2IS and since then ive been trolling the classifieds looking for some parts for it. Ive owned MANY different cars and several Lexus vehicles and so far ive never run across another group of owners that cant figure out the postage system.
Almost every item in the 2is classifieds is "local pick up only" "no shipping" Is it really THAT HARD to throw something in a box and and ship?? If you are super lazy UPS and fedex both come to your house and pick stuff up.
Ive seen people bump items 10 times and have people post in the thread with cash in hand that just need it shipped but instead of shipping the seller bumps it over and over again.....

Hey i have an idea, if you dont want to ship your parts DONT POST ON HERE, USE CRAIGSLIST MORON!!!!

Maybe i missed something, can someone fill me in on why most 2is owners are either too lazy or stupid to put a part in a box and mail it????

It's called Preference... and calling out those seller doesn't make you any smarter. No offense.

And people post here because there's less audience than craig's list compared to here in terms of direct product match. Learn some Marketing 101. Since this is a Lexus forum and people are selling Lexus parts, it has a lot higher success. Also, the forum has adopted a generally safe buying and selling system.

Honestly, if the buyers didn't lowball on the overall price I bet more sellers are willing to ship. Too many people lowball with the shipping price included, when the shipping cost = arm+leg.

Also, you complaining doesn't make it any better. I personally wouldn't want to ship items to people like you, cause I'd just have more headache's down the line. How about just PM the sellers and work it out, instead of ranting and generalizing clublexus.com

Who's to say that they aren't using Craig's List as well as CL?

I guess even if the seller shipped, you would probably rant about why the seller did not package your item properly, why it took longer than expext, etc. Your list goes on and on

No offence taken, calling them out doesnt make me smarter....Being able to put something in a box and mail it does.

EXACTLY.... If they want to sell on the forums Then they should sell to the people on the forums which is a nationwide audience. Whats the point of putting up a part for sale if you refuse to ship it and just keep bumping up a thread clogging the forums....

As far as people lowballing the shipping, of course some people will do that what do you expect??? There are also plenty of people willing to pay for the part + shipping, every other forum seems to be able to ship stuff without issues.

I'm with you. Unless you live in Socal the classifieds are pretty much useless.

OP comes across as an obnoxious *****... If the seller prefers local pick up, then it's up to them. It has nothing to do with their intelligence, laziness, whatever.

Maybe they just don't want to deal with shipping even though it comes to their door? Maybe they want to find the right buyer and make sure the transaction is safe? Maybe they just have a ton of time and money on their hands and don't care if the product moves slow...

Don't use the service here if you don't think it's up to par on your standards, because nobody cares.

Unnecessary comment and instigation. It is normal for a seller to attempt to sell locally before shipping.

for the seller, its easy for them to deal locally. rather than going to ups or fed ex, its more convenient it can just be picked up or take a good look of the product ...what if the buyer did't like the outcome of the item of the seller? that means its more hassle to shipped it back to the seller, who's absorbing the cost of the shipping expense?....something that the seller might consider this type of scenario.

you know who's willing to ship? the companies who manufacture the products you want to buy, so buy from them and quit whining about what people choose to do with what's theirs.
