Default New Car....

For the day. Just dropped my 07 IS250 off for a couple of recalls. They gave me this 2010 ES350 fully loaded for a loaner. Man ive never even blinked an eye at these cars but wow they are crazy nice. Wish i could afford one. On a side note I tried my best to sweet talk the service consultant into loaning me a IS-F Yeah that wasnt happening. Cant blame me for trying lol...cheers

Next time ask for an IS350, (it's common for the Lexus dealer to have a few), acceleration is better than ES350.

The new ES (especially with the 10' updates) is really nice. Roomy and good power delivery. The car is also pretty light on it's feet. Passing traffic is a breeze. Obviously this is no sports car, but it coddles the driver in a luxurious and comfortable yet capable driving environment. That said, I'll take my IS everyday!!

IS-SV, we don't offer IS loaners at our dealership (used to offer the 250 a few years ago). Currently we have ES, HS, RX and RXh as loaner cars. I think eventually we may have a few CT's. Our Infiniti dealer offers the G37 and our Acura has MDX, RDX, and TSX. BMW has the 328i and a few days ago they had a 335i!

My dealer always tries to put me in an ES but I request an IS. I figure IS for IS. My parents had an older ES that was a boat so I think I'm jaded towards them lol. I do like driving the 250 around for some reason even though I own a 350. I think its because the 250 is peppy whereas the 350 is crazy from stop lights and stuff which makes me feel sometimes like i'm going to lose control of the car.

Yeah that would be nice! Especially with the gas prices i wouldn't mind having one for those times when the car is with the dealer for a couple/few days Unforunately they apparently don't even have enough of them in stock to keep them on the lots! I went to test drive one that arrived the day before and it was sold as i left lol. And the other one the dealer tried to get in was sold before it was even delivered to the dealer.

Has anyone succesfully gotten an IS-F loaner?!? haha

I had a 2008 IS-F loaner. Suspension was too stiff. I think they sorted things out 2009 and later.

The ES is a fine machine. I would serisouly consider one as I get older (in progress). One thing I don't like with the refresh is the styling of wheels. The thicker lip around the edge creates shorter spokes causing the rims to appear too small. The 2007-2009 rims looked more substantial.
