Why do you need to go faster than 110 in the first place? I hope you're not doing this on the highway.

Nope, residential streets..

And it's not a need, it's a want, and that want is having my car the way it was before.

I completely understand u wantin ur car back to normal, and you should. But 110mph really? That's unsafe and irresponsible. Driving is a privilege.

If I wanted an opinion on speed I would have started a thread asking for it.. Not to be a d*ck, but if you have nothing beneficial to say regarding the topic of the thread, then please don't say anything at all. I am well aware that driving is a privilege, I've taken it away from many people over my years.

Are you out of warranty?

Because you told your dealership and corporate that your car will not shift from 4th to 5th at WOT and maxes out at 110mph? I would NEVER tell any dealership that, that's some pretty good stuff to use against you in the future if you ever try and claim powertrain failure under warranty.

No I'm not until 2013. And use against me how? No where in the fine print does it say the warranty only covers you if you never floor your car past X MPH, lol.

Damn your right bro, it doesn't say that

...but it does say they can choose to not honor the warranty in event of:

a) Abuse or negligence.

b) Misuse—for example, racing or overloading.

are you guys smoking crack? The car is designed with what, a 145 mph top speed? How is Lexus gonna get out of covering someone's warranty for doing 110? jeez, what a bunch of nags on here. Go trade your damn cars in on a Chevy Aveo...those'll top out at 85 which should be plenty for anyone, right?

Well flooring the car is not abuse or negligence, and I'm not racing anyone, so I am good in those aspects, and if flooring a car means overloading then it looks like they are going to have several hundred or even thousands upset customers.

Sorry dude, but your argument is fail .

Driving a car 110mph on any U.S. road IS negligence if you ask me. That's puts you at a good amount past the legal limit on any road. Are you going to try and argue that it's perfectly "normal" to drive 110mph on public roads?

People like you are another reason innocent people get killed on our roads driving home to their families

Well I guess that is the problem, no one asked you . I never said it was "normal" to drive 110mph on public roads. And if you have such an issue with people driving fast, write your congressman on changing the top speed for all cars that drive on public streets.

People like me are NOT another reason "innocent" people get killed on roads driving home to their families. More people die from red lights and drunk driving then excessive speed.

AND USUALLY when I am driving 110+ I have lights and sirens going.. People like you are probably the reason we have who we have in the oval office though
