ECT function

Default ECT function

hi guys i have a question, i just realized there is a ECT button on my car, its like PWR ECT and SNW. Im just curious what's the function of this button? thanks

Putting it in basic simple terms -

It controls the transmission ECT = electronically controlled transmission

PWR hangs in the gear longer at part throttle - not a smooth shifts ( a bit more crisp/harsh)throttle is a bit more aggressive. More likely to downshift when slowing down.

SNOW - easier on throttle, smooth controlled shifts (so you dont spin in snow), less initial torque/push when leaving from a stop

Fastest mode from a stop is still with ECT off though.

From my understanding the power setting only works at partial throttle as Jeff stated However i thought the snow mode also started the tranny in 2nd gear to try and avoid spinning.
