Hey guys, just in case you didn't know, I'll just throw this out there. The visor lights only turn on when the visor is within a certain range of positions. I'll just add this in here lol.
It took me a whole day to figure out why my visor lights weren't turning on after I replaced them with LEDs, although I'm sure nobody in here is as stupid as I am LOL

Mine stopped working on drviers side after lexus pulled the dash. passenger side works just fine. i'm wondering if there is a connection in the dash that wasnt plugged in. cause it literally worked before i took it in a year ago.

Mine only started acting up with the LEDs.

I've always believed it to be a result of the very low power draw of the LED...probably associated with the contacts/internal design of the visor. I'd guess the position and slider contacts are in-line with the bulbs (as opposed to a relay), and it's too much of a voltage drop/resistance to power the LED in a robust and repeatable fashion. It seems like you have to have 'perfect' contact...tapping/pinching/pressing always gets it to come on, at least while I am touching it. If it's just right, it'll stay on for me but not after multiple slides and/or flips up and down.

+1 for failed passenger vanity light...

Does anybody know if Fuse #18 controls both driver side and passenger? Or one or the other?

I tried doing that and it didn't work. The other option they gave me was replacing both mirrors for about $300 each...no thanks. In your situation it could be a blown fuse, if not we might be on the same boat. Kinda sucks cause I replaced it with LEDs and I can't even use them

I have exactly the same problem.

It is a problem with the switch not the bulb nor the fuse... Won't change the visor any way

Both of mine have this issue... if you hit the visor in the right spot the light turns on, but you have to do that every time. Pretty annoying - good thing they never get used anyway.

I had this problem on my drivers side (passenger side for you US people). I fixed it by pushing the slider really hard into the open position and now it's working fine... not sure how long it'll last.

My driver side is out :/
My passenger side is working fine with LEDS.
I'll definitely try the open/close method.

From what I know, fuse #18 controls both visor lights. If both are out, try changing fuse, but if one is out, there may be an issue with the actual contact point of the switch.

Recently picked up a used IS, neither of mine worked. I opened and closed the drivers side maybe 15-20 times and then it magically started working. I did the same thing with the passenger side, but I literally had to open/close it almost 100 times and then that one finally started working too. If all else fails spend 5 minutes quickly opening and closing it and eventually it might work like mine.
