Default Transmission Problem???

As most of you guys already know from my last post, I have been having some issues with my engine/transmission after the valve recall. The most noticeable issue is with the engine rpm's surging between gears, and the transmission shifting in an unusual manner. This is whats happening; I will be accelerating and as soon as I let go of my foot off the pedal, the car feels like its decelerating dramatically, yet it will be in 5th gear based on the display. Then, as I apply the brakes, it will stay in 5th until about 20mph, then the gears drop very quickly from 5th to 2nd, and the rpm's surge close to 2000 rpm's. The car feels and drives like garbage like this....

Anyone experiencing this? I am suppose to be taking it in soon...

Have you tried re-setting the ECU? (Unplug the battery and leave it for a little while)...

I had a similar issue on one of my older cars and it turned out to be a sticking brake caliper. After a driving for a while, try getting out of the car and put your hand near the wheel to see if there's heat radiating from it. I've heard of several 2IS's that had sticking rear brakes.

my issue after the valve recall on the 350 is the gas mileage went down about 35 miles per tank. I've then did oil change, dif fluid change, filters, tires, alignment, but still the same. Will have them check again one the dealership is free up with man power. I have 2 more pending so.... and Local dealer have been back up doing recall for another 5 days....
