Faulty Navigation?
Right, so today, I decided to use my navigation to find a post office but in the midst of typing in the address, the screen becomes unresponsive to my touch. I turned off my engine and turned it back on to see if restarting the navigation would do the trick it but it's the same(I noticed the screen was pretty warm to the touch as well). The warning screen remains but I can't press agree. I can't even adjust the vents and audio settings anymore. Does this mean I have to go to the dealer?
Exact same thing happened here on a 2008 ISF, NAV didn't respond to touch commands.
Warranty replaced the entire display, but if out of warranty, the screen is a $4-5k part alone...
It went bad once, which means it could very well go bad in the future once the car is out of warranty. Does anyone know if there are people who replace/repair the NAV screens? Or does the non-NAV core fit cars with NAV?
