Anyone know how to remove the clear cover from the cluster? Need to wipe away some residue that got on the inside.

2Slow is a vendor on here and his name is LEDGuy...He can replace all the LED bulbs with different colors too. If you sent it to him he'll be able to do it for you. He's in Nor Cal.

Dang!! I am now a victim of the '06 needle group. It's the middle of my tach needle. I'll see what the dealer says, but I'm probably not going to like it.

They're going to have to replace the whole unit. They're not going to just fix it since they don't have people there who can solder lol.

Maybe have LEDGuy fix it, he's done several.

Wow, I'm surprised how common this problem is (based on the responses here). I hope this doesn't happen to me... I guess I can understand why Lexus wouldn't have a recall for something like this, though. Even if it's a common problem, the cost that it would incur is probably not worth the business it might save them. ~$1K per affected customer is not a wise investment for a bad LED. They'll have to live with the damage this does to their rep.

There has got to be a cheaper alternative than replacing the whole dash unit
