it's meant to reduce glare to drivers on the other side.

Yep, I adjusted both sets of screws by the headlights and finally made some progress. I must have turned each screw about 100 times to get them pointed in the right direction and providing adequate light in front of my car.

For the most part, I got rid of the stairway effect but I think I have to move the right bulb in a little bit more as it still seems to be pointing to the right of my car. Not sure how the previous owner drove the car at night because the way it was could not be safe.

The new KBcarstuff.com 5000K lights look good, they are bright and look good approaching the car.

Thanks for all the guidance and excellent posts in the forums!

^there are 2 screws for each headlight... And you have to turn them each the same number of clicks.

I assume you did both right?

Lets see "after" pics

Yep, two screws for each light. I turned each of them about 100 times or more to get them where they needed to be. I can't confirm they are turned exactly the same number but I know it was many, many turns for each screw.

I will try to get a few pics tonight to show the difference it made. So far so good!

Smile Is250 2009 hid problem

Hey guys i am new to this blog and also new to lexus family. So i will just straight go to my point. Few weeks ago my left side headlight has been replaced(OEM) through insurance company. And when i got the car back, the left side Headlight was less brighter then right side. So i took the car to the lexus referred body shop who replaced the headlight and they fix and told me now its ok. But when i came back and was driving the car at night i saw there is some stair effect in the lights and also now i am not getting the shadow effect of the HID. Now its giving lower shadow effect. To make it clear and understandable i also uploaded the pictures. So if anybody can help me out here, that will be really appreciable. I have no idea whats going on. I think i will take it back to the lexus. But first i want to know why i am not getting the same light effect as before.
