Default Gfx lip install question

Is it okay to cut off the tabs on the side of the lip and use 3m tape to hold that part down? I don't really want to drill/slot my bumper. Im trying to get it done today.

Off topic request.
Can you guys post some pictures with the tein s tech springs? I need to see how low the drop is. I want to get it lowered before my Works get here.

How did the lip install go? I got one of these from Sewell a few months ago, but I went ahead and drilled my front bumper for the slots. After getting used to the GFX lip, seeing one without it looks weird. I am assuming the people that did it without using the slots for the locking tabs haven't had any issues? Cool if not, I just wouldn't have thought it would have been secure enough that way. Let us know how it went.

I removed the tabs and simply used the 3M tape that came with it. So far, the lip is rock solid and I haven't had a problem at all. I am glad I didn't make any holes to insert those tabs.

I get it, and normally wouldn't want to make cuts like that when doing a mod or upgrade. However, if the car had been ordered with the GFX kit, the dealer would have made the same cuts to do the install. Also, it looks SOOOOOOOO good that if anything ever happened to it, I would absolutely buy another and put it right back on. As for the 3M tape, I have clearly understimated it's ability and stand corrected. Sweet.

I got the install done guys. There seems to be a 1-2mm gap. I'm on my iPhone right now. I'll post pics in the morning.

I didn't even use the double-sided tape. Between the bolts and tabs, that thing isn't going anywhere. Drilling is absolutely unnecessary.
