Hi everyone! Looks like I am one of many with a failing touch panel (digitizer) on my navigation. The navigation on my 2006 IS350 just one day stop responding, very annoying. So with that in mind, has anyone been able to successfully locate the digitizer / touch panel sensor for our nav system? I do these type of repairs on a daily basis on mobile devices, but I can't locate this part for Lexus Navigation Systems. If anyone can help me find the part, I can write up a guide on how to do it yourself. Saves you $1000-2000 on a replacement.

Buy self the fly audio product its better than the oem and you can play dvd you have to guess if your navigation is burn from the inside or it could probably xan be fix

 

fly audio costs around 2gs... but i think the op is trying to save money.. plus i think the OEM navi looks and responds better.

 

that's correct. the digitizer (touch panel) at most should cost $100-200 for it's rarity. it probably only cost $20-30 to produce at most.

anyone know of anybody who has these parts for sale or anyone have a fried nav unit? i want the touch panel. thanks

 

I was wondering about this as well, is it possible to buy just the digitizer panel is itself.

Have an 08 IS and the touchscreen does not respond, but it will be replaced with no charge because of the warranty. My concern is once the car is out of warranty and it happens again....

Sorry to raise this thread back from the dead.. but my 06 is350 is having the same issue as well. Faulty digitizer panel, out of warranty. Any luck on finding anything out there supernine?

 

Though I've have had good luck so far with my '06 Nav touchscreen, I'm in for answers for foreseeable future solutions to this impending problem.
