Hi

Can anyone tell me if I need to change the transmission fluid for my 06 IS250awd? Some had told me that my car has the life seal trans and doesn't require transmission fluid change.

Not only don't you need to, you physically can't change a significant amount of it.

Yup. You'll find the same information in your owners manual.

There's sort of a glossary/index in there (past the scheduled service schedule I think) and it says that under the entry for transmission I believe

How come on Lexus.ca in the maintenance schedule it says to replace Automatic Transmission Fluid at 96,000 km (60,000 miles)?

Because canadian Lexus dealers are more desperate for work I suspect.

The one invoice I ever saw from a canadian who had it done showed 2 qts of fluid used... which means it's the same BS "fake" fluid change I've mentioned elsewhere, with like 85% of the old fluid staying in there because it's physically impossible to change most of it.
