Apparently, the manual says 100k for ATF changes but see below link, this guy changed it at 50,000 miles and gives detailed steps.

Agreed, IMO "Lifetime" should be assumed to be equal to the period of time the MFG is willing to provide a warranty, not equal to the rest of your life...

Just checking the fluid level - let alone changing it - on a 2007 on up ES is complicated. Independent shops don't have the tools or know how to do it - especially for a mere $70. These cars are not like your fathers Toyotas.
The fluid DOES need changing - if you want the transmission to last far longer than the 70,000 mile powertrain warranty.

Sounds like a good deal, if you consider it takes 12 quarts ATF ( $6.60/qt by the case at a Toyota dealer).
It does take a lot of time to completely flush ..

"""The transmission fluid to be replaced on your car has a drain plug to drain the fluid and a side entry to re-fill the transmission fluid. We place the car on the hoist and drain the fluid. We then install transmission fluid through the side entry hole, start the car and monitor the operating temperature. When this transmission fluid temperature reaches the required spec, we add fluid as required until the fluid starts to drain off from the fill entry point. This replacement service takes approximately 2 hrs as the car transmission fluid has to reach the specified temperature before closing off the system. my factory Drivetrain warranty is expiring in 10 days
and the Build date of the car was 5/20/2007 so i figured with it having 54k and being 6 years old in 2 days it is time to do some service
today i had the Coolant system flushed out and replaced with proper antifreeze for the Toyota
had the break lines flushed out break peddle seems better then it did before
asked the shop if they could do a power steering system fluid flush they told me they don't deal with that service so ill have the dealer do that i guess
but i wanted to get a transmiions fluid exchange done
but they don't yous toytota transmisons fluid i know in the owners manual it says to use toyota transmision fluid and it gives a reason why not to use another kind of fluid
but wondering if its really true about how it can shift differently is it really required to use toyota lexus fluid
or will i be fine to have the shop echange the fluid with there valvoline or what ever other brand fluid they use ?
