I believe the dealership would change the battery for free. If you have a chance, drop by your dealership and ask.
For me, I had mine changed for before and it was done on the spot.

You need a CR1632, which can be purchased at a local watch repair for a fraction of the stealership cost. I bought 2 for $5.

I've seen people have it done free.
And I've seen people charged $20 for a $1 battery.
Dont buy in packs of 5 at a time. A battery last over 2 years and by the time you use the other 4 you paid for they might even need to be replace due to lag time in the drawer if you find them.
The older will bring problems and even will leak which will destroy your remote.

I have to disagree. Instead of paying $5 at Radio Shack or Walgreens for a single cell, for another dollar that mail-order 5-pack that xmid posted will replace the batteries in both remotes now and again in two years, with a spare to keep in the glove box. Considering that disposable Li-MnO2 button cells are rated for a 7-10 year shelf life (depending on manufacturer), I see little chance of them going bad before they are used.
You may dissagree, but I am kind of an expert on this matter>
My job for the last 10 years have been in the Tech room in a very known watch company and I deal with this baterries everyday. I recommend not to buy packs of 5 since you will be wating your money in the other 4 left. Expiration date is an issue when a single battery last over 2 years and the baterry has a 4 year expiration date. The expiration date is to garantee that you dont put an old battery in your watch, remote or etc and then it leak damaging your electronic device.
Believe me I deal with thousands of watches a month and the worse thing you can do is put an old battery in your electronic. I have since watches worth hundreds of dollars go to waste due to batteries leaking.
The whole point is not to buy extra since you are not going to be able to use them.
with the 5 pack...each battery runs you about $1.20. They also sell individual ones for $2.04...about 84 cents difference.
The good thing about the 5 pack is that you can share with your fellow CL family if you want to
