chikoo, you answered your own question in your original post. See what happens is the car is already noisy enough with it's loud dirct injection. You hear the injectors working harder as you accelerate. Where cold weather plays a huge role in how a car starts in the morning. The car is warming up it's internals so it's already accelerated, more so than in summer weather. Nothing to be alarmed about, if you had an exhaust all you'd hear is the loud exhaust tone until the rpm drop down some.
I live in Wisconsin and its 9 degrees right now so I know exactly what you're talking about. 0W30 oil will make it run smoother on start up and not give that diesel noise. also I've noticed in cold weather my belts run loud - after some squirts of belt dressing and a 0w30 oil change, your car will sound just like it did in summer when it was 75 and sunny
