Default Raised Leather Issue

So I got into my car this morning to go to work and I found this on my driver side seat:

The leather has actually separated from whatever lining is under it. I can actually feel a "rim" under the leather as if whatever it was connected to just dropped off. Anyone else have this issue? I'm def gonna try to get it warrantied I just want to see if there's anything i should say so they don't haggle me about it.

Dang that looks nasty. Keep us updated on the warranty situation. I hope they take care of it.

The color looks different on that particular part of the leather. It must have been something hot that spilled or something that would cause the leather to deform from the bottom liner. Best thing to do is leave the car out on the sun and see if it goes away sometimes that helps.

Whoa, it's a tumor. I've seen leather raising from the area near the door handles and it was covered by warranty, should be the same case here. Good luck.

Hey guys, the only thing that I placed on my seats recently was some food I got that was fresh out of the oven in a cardboard box (chicken parm roll). I kept moving it around my seat so that it wouldn't get too hot in any one area so I don't think that would of been it since it was in a different area for longer than it was upfront. I don't let people eat/drink in my car so nothing has ever spilled on my seats. Also this just showed up this morning and its 20-30 degrees out here. I scheduled an appointment to get it checked out next wednesday, no one seems to have loaners around here until then.

This car was is a certified used car though, so maybe someone that had it may have spilled something on it before I got the car this past summer. The leather looked/still looks brand new though except for the drivers seat and its normal wear and tear. I'll keep everyone updated, I'll raise hell if they dont warranty it.. I really cant stand looking at it hah.

Update: Took it in today, the service guy is getting authorization to replace the seat. Apparently they're trying to figure out if its damage or defect..which its obviously a defect. They said the seat cover is $1600!!

Yeah, but I rather have a new looking seat (all my seats look new except for drivers, when i picked up the car interior looked like it had never been touched!) than a giant wart! I got the confirmation that they're going to warranty the part, now just have to wait a week for it to come in
