I am trying to get some low beams and fog light hid's for my IS350. I just spoke with HIDextra and was told they do not sell the correct bulb type hid kit for my car (D4S)....So my question to you guys is....What are you ordering from HIDextra that works for the low beams?

Most people who order from HIDextra buy halogen to HID kits. If you want replacement HID bulbs, I heard garax is very good.

How are the HIDextra kits. I want to install them, but am unsure about which ones are best. I have a 2006 IS250. Would I order the H11 kit?

 

They told me that they do not have the correct bulbs for any IS, and they wont have them for 6-12 months from now...

 

I cant say whether the kits are good or bad since i didnt buy from them. However there is a whole thread devoted to them in the "lighting" section.

 

i had ordered their bulbs d4s and it didn't turn out well. the light was purple and one side would always turn off while driving. i would have to turn them off and on again. go with garax, i never had a problem with them since i switch. hidextra is ok for hid kits.

 

i also recomm. garax for d4s.

What kit do you guys go with for the fogs to match the garax D4S bulbs?

 

6000K would be a close match, but you should get 3000K fogs.

I got myD4S low beams from hidxtra( in feb 10)..and my HID 9006 for fogs...recently was thinking on switching to 5k (I now have 6K in both)...called them up, and they said they dont have any D4S anymore and didnt kno when they was going to get some!....so when I switch will have to look elsewhere!

 

Anybody know what other bulb manufacturer is a close match to the Garax D4S 6000k bulbs? I am under the assumption that not all 6000k hids are the same color, is this true?

 

Very true. DDM Tuning was a fairly close match for me. I have 6000K Garax lows and 6000K DDM Tuning fogs in this picture:
