I wouldn't mind having them but I also wouldn't mind selling them. It's probably just the fact that they sit in my office all day and haunt me that I've even considered this. They are currently for sale on e60.net

the rims well fit with spacer just need a bit of rolling and smaller tires like a 225/35/19 and 255/30/20

I chose the staggered setup for the 545 cause i thought it would give it a real aggressive look. Thought that maybe it would do the same for the is350. Ive got months to really think hard about these wheels and many mods to do before then.
I love them on the 5 series, I think they look fantastic. I just think the 20s at the rear will look too big on the IS with aggressive offsets since the IS is a smaller car.

Yeah, you would definitely need some fender work. If I were you, I'd just try and sell them, and get some LC818's with IS-friendly specs. Nice 5 series BTW!

to be flush with the IS you'll need around a 30 or high 20s offset. yea, our offset is pretty weak. I think your best bet is to try to sell your rims and build LC with IS offsets. Also without adapters, IMO the ride will be a lot quieter/smoother

The 5 is in a class with the Lexus GS and Mercedes E class.

The IS is in a class with the BMW 3 series and Mercedes C class.

I don't know if the OP had any performance modifications for his car, but stock for stock the only thing the IS350 has over the BMW 545 is more powerful acceleration (particularly from 0), but acceleration isn't everything when determining "class."

Well, the other thing the IS350 has is that it'll almost certainly be far more reliable.

That said, a BMW 5 series is still a BMW 5 series. I love the latest generation. Always loved the look overall.

i was thinking of the 525 model but regardless...the 545 only has like 20 more hp and pretty much the same options as the is350...not to mention that he got rid of a 03 04 or 05 and got like a 06 07 or 08. And to me the IS looks better...especially the interior. yea it might be a downgrade on paper but "what a downgrade" is not really a justifiable comment imho.

So here will be my quick comparison of apples to oranges. My 545 for engine/performance wise had a custom straight pipe exhaust, k&n filter, RPI Scoop, and engine tune (it was very limited for performance products) The ol girl was a beast on the highway..anything above 100km and it would still pull hard. 0-60 was always different. Because the clutch wasnt stiff and was a self adjusting clutch i was very careful to not be peeling out everywhere so i didnt burn it out, granted, the low end is without a doubt better then the is350 BUT the is350 top end feels better. It is really hard to compare the 2 and its not just about turning or a straight line. Hands down stock for stock, i believe the 5 series handled alot better, less body roll. The is350s interior is better, just not sure about the quality..im always hearing creaking and such. Also living in a cold climate place for more than half the year, i hate that the is350 doesnt have a heated steering wheel. I also notice the is350 doesnt heat up nearly as quick. Road noise, the 5 series takes the win. even with my straight pipes it seemed quieter. Hmmm this is actually starting to turn one sided...yikes. Did i mention that the is350 is faster from a dig? That the interior is nicer? That the ML sound system is awesome? For now, thats really all i can say about the is350, but give me a break, its only been 2 weeks and my blood, sweat and tears havnt been put in it yet. BUT im assured daily that this will be a better overall car then the 5..in some aspects.

How is a spacer going to make +10 to a +35? it will either make it zero or a negative offset!
