beefier front tires?
My wife's 2007 IS 250 has 55,000 miles, we already bought new front tires when the car had 30,000 miles. Now that the car is reaching 60,000 miles new tires are needed, the rear are still in very good condition, I am considering to buy only front tires, since my wife is not driving that much anymore. But if rear tires are needed at the time we buy the fronts, I will buy the rear too.
Now, I would like to get a little beefier tires in the front what size other than the 225/40? When the tires get to half of their life they look pretty small and the bumps and noise increase.
Any suggestions? I don't want to ruin the look and sporty feel of the car.

I changed to 245/40/18 on the front & it is a huge improvement. Ride comfort & handling much better & just feels more balanced. It rubs slightly if I enter or back out of a driveway with wheels turned all the way but that is the only time. My 2007 has oem stock suspension so if your car is lowered you should go with 235/40/18.
