Servicing my IS250 & reliability
Hey guys,
I have a 2008 IA250 RWD 6 speed manual and it has 42k on it already meaning before I know it I will have to do the 60K check up. What I want to know is what exactly do they do at the 60K check up? I called my local dealer and said that I wouldn’t need to flush my transmission or rear end he said that it’s over kill and unnecessary. So what do they do exactly just change your plugs and wires? If anyone could list out exactly what they do I would deeply appreciate it. Also my dealers said it wuld cost around 650-700 dollars for the service.
Another thing is I have only owned this car for a year and 9 months now and bought the car new and have already put 42,000 on the car (I travel for business). How reliable will the car be in the long run? I take good care of my vehicles I wash them every week and change the oil at exactly 5K each and every time and make sure my air filters are clean.
EDIT: One last thing is there an easy way for the seats to fold down? I snowboard and hate hate hate roof racks and I have been trying to figure a way to get my snowboard inside my car. If anyone has any good ideas I would much appreciate it.
Thanks,
Ryan

Here is a list of Service that is required for maintenance (courtesy of Kurtz). If you are doing 60K, start from the oil change and work your way up.

If you take care of the car, it's pretty reliable compared to other brands.
As for the fold down seats, the rear seats does not fold down. All you have is the center access hole which allows you to haul flag poles.
