First off most automakers promote the best model in the lineup. For instance the Camaro SS is advertised at 400+ hp when the V6 version doesn't come anywhere near that. Not to mention the V6 version is the best seller over the SS. I say commercial after commercial every day of the week talking about how much horsepower the car has and how quick it does 0-60 and it then gives a starting price that seems very reasonable for the all options and feats they just listed off. Then you read the fine print at the bottom and it says price as shown, which is about $10k+ from the starting price they mentioned in the commericial.
I'm well aware of ads, marketing, and promoting your product to make it sound best. But the commercial is still misleading with many claims. Not specifying particular models and then claiming the IS has more torque than the A4 is simply not true. It is not an apples to apples comparison. More realistically, the average buyer is going to go to a Lexus dealer to look at the IS250. He or she is either going to be wowed by the styling and price or let down by lack of torque and handling. Most will be wowed by the styling and price.Originally Posted by my95tsi
Completely irrelevant remark.

A4 vs IS350 is actually not such a bad comparison.
Technically, the A4 has a base price between the IS250 and IS350, but given the fact that the IS line generally comes with certain things standard that cost "extra" on the A4 (and therefore aren't included in the "base price" figure) once you start comparing similarly equipped A4s, IS250s, and IS350s, the A4's price starts to creep up into IS350 territory fairly quickly.
I'd guess a similarly well-equipped IS350 would cost ~$5000 more which is actually not that much more (relatively speaking) when you consider the overall price of these cars (new).

Do the 2011 is350's come with LSD? Cause if not that is some nice CGI lol...for real though those moves would be tough without LSD
