The clips requires less force to pop out compared to the force of cracking the mirror.
there is not a standard for "hard" or "gentle" pulling of the mirror. Don't pull it out unless u r familiar with the job! I'm not saying it's not ok to pull but do what you are comfortable to do in the way u sure getting it done without breaking anything.

Just unscrew the 2 outer screws, jiggle the lower housing little bit, then the light will drop down and u will be able to swap the LED. There's no way you can break anything this way.

The mirror actually cracked when I was pushing it in. I was in a rush and pushed too wide on the bottom of the mirror rather than in the bottom center of the mirror.

Well as long as you gently use some force on the right places, then everything should be all right.

I see them now but the oem are terrible. Time to get some new ones. Is there a way for them to come one when you are close to the car with the fob? My wife has a new gx460 and lights turn on when you walk by it.

^ they'll come on whenever you walk nearby the car with your fob. You dont necessarily have to click the unlock button.

It might just be me/my car but I think they only turn on when the car is locked or at least that was my impression when I tested it after I installed my LEDs.
