I'm probably going to buy an 06-07 350 in the next few months. How Can I tell from pics if the car has ML or not? I see most (all I'm looking at) have the tweeters in the door near the mirror and thought that was the key until I saw a tiny ML logo on a car without nav. Is this is a rare option? I'd really like to have it but will probably have to pass if it is on a few cars out of all for sale. TIA

Get the ML if you can, it's a sweet option... I regret not getting it on mine.

Yup...it's say Mark Levinson on the head unit.

That's the only easy visual way to tell. The tweeters have nothing to do with it.


The slightly less easy visual way is to check for a pair of speakers on the rear shelf, only ML systems have those (non ML has 3 in each rear door... ML has 2 in each rear door and 2 more on the rear shelf).


(the much less easy visual ways are to lift the trunk panel to see the amp, which would also say Mark Levinson... or to lift the center dash speaker grill and see if there's actually a speaker there)


ML without nav is extremely rare... it's only available via special order, and I've only ever seen a couple of cars that way. And I own one of em.

It is pretty rare to see ML without nav. I would probably look for one with the nav so you also gain DVD playback. Nothing special shows up on the nav screen showing you that it has ML. I've never had a chance to play with the audio system in a car with nav, but without ML, so I don't know if maybe some of the menus might be different.
