I for one like my cars to have big rear bumpers and high decklids. Lends a sense of power, especially when the front is tapered and lean. The IS nails this sleek look perfectly.
Ooops, sorry Fizzboy, my bad. I deleted my post hoping to find another picture to show the rear spoiler.

But yes the OEM rear spoiler visually lengthens the rear of the car and looks just right. The high rear bumper is normal and meets fed bumper requirements.

IMO, the OEM rear spoiler really makes the rear of ISx50 look better. The car looks finished and rear visually lengthened a bit.

Well said. I think Lexus should just make this standard. It also makes the car look faster even when at a stop. That may sound silly, but stuff like that entices potential buyers when they may not even realize why.

I think the color of the car matters too... the silver one pictured, and other lighter colors, it's a huge improvement. The darker colored cars I think it's a lot less noticeable a difference (and why I skipped it when I ordered mine)

Yes, the rear spoiler does standout more on the lighter colors.

My SGM 07 IS350 already had the rear spoiler, but had it not I certainly would have added it immediatly for the reasons mentioned above. I see plenty of SGM ISx50's around here without the rear spoiler and they tend to look rather like a "base model".

Awesome.. just awesome.. I mean just look at it.. the lines of the car... the design... everything just looks.. right.
This is best looking angle of 2IS. Every time I walk to my car this view makes me smile.
