Default painting intake pipe

hey guys

i have a Fujita F5 intake that i installed about a month ago

well anyway, in australia you get a provisional license for 3 years before your "full" license.

im 17 and on my Red Provisional license, and the problem is your not meant to do any "performance" mods to your car on your P's. lol fat chance

cops here love pulling over p platers and ive already been pulled over 5 times (for bullcrap reasons) in 3 months (2 was for having fog lights on, 1 for LED parker lights, 1 for unnecessary acceleration , and 1 for having "overly large exhaust tips")
i was lucky in all my encouters with the cops cuz they never told me to pop the hood, but if they do and they see my intake with the pod filter im basically stuffed. so i was thinking if i could paint my intake pipe black they wouldnt really notice with the engine covers covering the pod filter

so can i use any type of paint? or do i need some high temp paint??

thanks a bunch!

oh and also
ive taken my LEXUS and IS250 badges off, but decided to put em back BUT i wanna paint em like the pearl ones you can get, but dont wanna spend 200$ on just badges. is it safe to paint em with any outdoor paint?? my cars SGM so i might get some touch up paint and paint the emblems with it and put em back on

play it safe and go for some high heat paint, or even some header paint. Feel the intake after you're driving to judge how hot it gets. You won't regret the high heat paint.

Problem with that is not the pipe it's the huge filter that says "LOOK AT ME" that will give you away to a cop.
