Default Interior Light Question ?

there is a very small light 1/8 inch square next to the interior light button..

if you look at the sunroof button open/tilt then look at the door light button in between the door light button there is a square led light 1/8th inch .

my question? is this light is always on while driving ?

i notice it other day when i got my car window tinted.. now it is dark inside i notice the small led light...

it does not bother me but notice the light stays on during the day and night...

thanks

I have the 09 IS so it might be different, but the only way to turn it off is to turn off the interior lights with the **** located on the left side of the steering wheel behind the paddle shifter. I don't gave the options in my car so I have a coin holder, it's next to that.

I'm pretty sure that's the only way to turn it off. So it's always on, unless you want to drive with no dash or console lights haha.

No one here knows. It's kind of like the light in your refrigerator!!

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's on all the time. I forget what the exact term is for that light, but I believe the idea is that at night it lights up your hand slightly as you're reaching for the controls up there, thus improving your hand-eye coordination.

and if you look down, it shines directly into the cup holder below the gear shifter. when i'm driving at night i can see if there is anything in it before i reach in. maybe its for that too, idk...
