Default Question/Opinions - 2010 Lexus IS350

Whats up world !

So, I just bought my Lexus IS350 a few weeks ago. I have 5 years - 50 k warranty. I just bought some LC818's off of wheeldude.com/bought tires and springs. Few questions and concerns...

1) Installing the springs... will it void my warranty ?
2) Will there be any rubbing if I do drop my car with HR's ?
- Wheel Size
LC818 5x114.3 19x8.5 +30 73hb Satin Black
LC818 5x114.3 19x10 +38 73hb Satin Black

- Tires and Size
235/35ZR19XL 91Y BW N3000 NEXEN
275/30ZR19XL 92Y BW N3000 NEXEN

3) Does any one have pictures of an IS350 sitting on 19' rims - not lowered ? I wanna see how bad the gap is.

Getting a brand new car altered is pretty scary ... but I hope it doesn't bit me in the ***, put a lot of money and time in to this and your help will be greatly appreciated !!!

Thank you all in advance

Just the spring and tires warranty would be void. Dealer would have to prove that spring and/or wheels was the cause if something else went bad. You would have to handle your own warranty claims on the spring or tires, i.e file the claim with the wheel or spring manufacture company.

Altering a new car is scary, thats why I am sticking with F-Sport and Lexus install. In 6-7 years, after my 7 yr 100k warranty (Lexus), I will do the other brands. Also with the F-Sport, Lexus will handle all warranty problems for the life of my orginal car warranty.

NOTE: that is only true if you pay the lexus dealer to do the install. Otherwise it's just a 1 year warranty on the part.

Which for most F-sport parts would probably cost you more than replacing whatever the part in question is down the road out of pocket.

(And I don't think your extended warranty helps you any, after the original 4 years of factory warranty you're done with any F-sport coverage...but if someone knows differently please post it).

Im say it all depends on your dealer. When i take my car in slammed on coilover my dealer dont complain about my warranty getting void they like the way it looks. Even when i took it back to them they asked if i was going to leave the coilover on hahaha

have you ever heard of someones toyota strut falling off a car? i haven't... main thing is the engine, put coils and slam your car, change oil every 5k and she'll be good for ONE BILLION MILES...

The dealer will tell you you should pay them $110/hr to install F-sport items. Since they want your money.

Federal law however will tell you that nothing "voids" a new car warranty.

It's simply that if an aftermarket part causes a problem they aren't required to fix that problem... everything else remains covered.

You will save so much not having the dealer install parts that it'd more than cover any likely repair that could come up from not having them do it. (and after 12 months you don't have an alignment warranty anyway, which is the most likely "problem" lowering springs introduce)

(and for many of the F-sport parts, like say the intake or the sway bars, I can't even think of a problem they could cause if you install em properly yourself)
