Default 3mm front spacers?

I just installed a set of 3mm spacers on my front wheels because the wheels I ordered from Forgestar did not clear the front calipers, and they refuse to fix this problem. When tightening the lug nuts, I can only get about 4 full turns before the nut is tightened to about 75lb/ft of torque, does this mean that I will need to get longer lugs to make this work?

Thanks!

dont worry about 3mm spacers... as for your rim problem, do you have a 350? cuz if you do you shoulda ordered R disk (high disk) type face for the front rims.

Yeah, I own a 350, I ordered the R disk face for my rims, they BARELY skim the edge of the front calipers once in a while, but I wanted the spacers to prevent them from grinding down the wheels too much... So it'll be ok even with only 3.5-4 turns?

Hmm. I just checked again, still only 4 turns, do you think it's because of the design of the wheel, or the lug nut? Will this be enough?

unfortunately not. You need at least 6 full turns to be safe!

just keep checking your torque once a month. i am not saying this is 100% safe to do. but i rocked 5mm spacers without a problem for awhile.

3mm spacer... 5mm spacer... it doesn't matter what size spacer your running, if your only getting 4 turns IT'S NOT SAFE!

I've run 3&5mm spacers before and got a good 6 turns out of it with my 360 Forged wheels... so it must be your wheels.

It has to be the back pad of your wheels (the part that bolts down to the hub). It seems your back pad must be pretty thick and taking up a lot of bolt thread if your only getting 4 turns.

Do it right and get the longer studs if you really want to run that 3mm spacer.

6 turns at least, 4 turns is not safe at all.
