Track comparison
I just compared the IS F to a 2013 Cayman S Porsche and it looks like the Cayman S is faster than the IS F on all track times. The IS F is faster on the straight drag (except for 0-100kph)

Am I missing something here? I didn't see any current year IS350's listed for comparison (they had a 2006 IS350)
When I compared the 2 cars that I currently own (2006 IS 350 to a 2013 Boxster S) the Boxster S is faster, which is how I would have rated them. The Lexus is great in a straight line but can't corner like the Porsche.

Well, I'm not sure how accurate this list is but according to www.fastestlaps.com, the IS350 has a faster lap time around the Willow Springs track than the Cayman S

No, it's about 4.8 to 5.1 seconds, with an average of around 4.9 seconds.
zeroto60times IS350 = 4.8 seconds 2007 Lexus IS 350 0-60 mph 4.8 Quarter mile 13.3 (zeroto60times.com)
Torquestats IS350 = 4.9 seconds torquestats.com
Road and Track IS350 = 4.9 seconds http://www.roadandtrack.com/var/ezfl...a4be35078d.pdf
Car and Driver IS350 = 5.1 seconds

"C/D TEST RESULTS:
Zero to 60 mph: 5.1 sec
You won’t be working too hard to repeat our 5.1-second 0-to-60-mph time"
Edmunds IS350 = 5.2 seconds
http://www.insideline.com/bmw/3-seri...us-is-350.html
So there are 5 independent sources all putting the IS350's 0 to 60 in the range of 4.8 seconds to 5.2 seconds, 3 of them being highly decorated/professional (Road and Track, Car and Driver, Edmunds)
Owners have measured a bone stock IS350's 0 to 60 in as low as 4.7 seconds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dj-ZvmRivzg
The only people who will try to convince you that the IS350 does 0 to 60 a full second slower (6 seconds) are typically insecure drivers from competing brands who have slightly slower cars but are unwilling to admit it. The BMW 330i is a great example, or the Acura TL-S, or the G37, all of which consistently post lower 0 to 60 times than the IS350 when compared by the same entity (Road and Track or Car and Driver, you name it). I don't blame people who are unfamiliar with the IS350 to be confused with all of the misinformation out there. It doesn't help that Lexus themselves severely underestimate the IS350's performance capabilities given that, in the past, Lexus has not been necessarily known to provide understated figures.
The caveat to all of this is, you need to have the traction control fully disabled in the IS350 to achieve these times. Having the traction control on can add up to a full second for 0 to 60.
For the 2007+ models, traction control is easily disabled by holding the traction control button for 5 seconds.
For the 2006 model, you have to do an elaborate "pedal dance" sequence that involves depressing and releasing the brake and parking brake in a certain way in order to disable traction control.
Hope these resources/information help.
