Default TPMS question

Hi everyone. I hope everyone doing well. I just have an idea and would like to ask for your thought. Any comment would be appreciated.

I have an 06is250. I'm about to get the f-sport rims, but not getting rid of my stock rims. I'm thinking of doing this but dont know if it's possible. I wanna buy a set of TPMS separately for the f-sport and have the dealer to program it. At that time after the programming, will I still be able to swap my stock rims back on and the car computer still recognize the 1 set of TPMS on the stock rims? Or does the car computer can only recognize 1 set of TPMS?

thx everyone!

It can only recognize 1 set. Each time you swap, you're going to have to get them reprogrammed.

If anyone can recommend doing anything to save the work I would be really appreciated cuz I really want to swap them but really afraid to go through hassle of reprogramming the TPMS.

Is there an option to just shut it off and also shut off the TPMS warning light inside?

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend turning them off. They are a life saver if you have aftermarket rims. Wouldn't want to blow a tire and have no warning. Not only that, but there's 2 lights that come on due to noTPMS or low tire pressure. One is the tire pressure light which displays at the bottom right hand corner. That can probably be disabled, but if you disable the warning light that comes up in the middle of your guages, you will be letting unknown problems go on with you car and you won't even know. I seriously don't recommend it.

Doesn't the '06 have the satellite setting for 2 sets of TPMS ? My '07 was able to handle 2 sets - summer and snow - with no hassel. Check your manual. The satellite control is just below the steering wheel and slightly to the left. It also allows changing the color indicators on the Tach and speedo. YOU WILL STILL HAVE TO REGISTER THE SENSORS

This is wrong. The car has two sets that can be programmed.

SoDiezl350 is absolutely right. The car can store programming for two different sets of TPMS sensors, and you can easily switch between them using the buttons to the left of the steering wheel.

Who are you kidding? You just want to show off your cool white and blue LEDs on the controls, which look awesome by the way.

The light won't come on until after 30 mins of driving. So if you're doing short trips, you won't see it. This happened to me before when I first got my winters put on without sensors. I could drive up to 30 mins before the light came on. Sometimes if I knew that I was driving longer than that, I would pull over and turn off the car and restart it to fool the system to give me an extra 30 mins.
